Refrigerant tracking and environmental reporting — now under control

Importing equipment that contains refrigerants requires regular reporting to the Environmental Agency (Agen?ia de Mediu) and strict control of annual quotas for certain gas types. Previously this was calculated by hand — with the risk of errors and missed quotas.

We rolled out calc-ref — an internal system for tracking refrigerant imports:

• automatic calculation of refrigerant mass and CO2-equivalent (GWP) for every shipment;
• real-time annual quota control — the system won't let you post a document if it would exceed the limit;
• a ready-made report for any period, with filters by supplier, country of origin, HS code, and refrigerant type;
• one-click export of the report to Excel;
• a calculator for a quick estimate before placing an order — no document required.

The result: accurate, timely reporting, purchase planning within quota limits, and less manual work for staff.
